  1. Greetings, players! After five months, it is time to say goodbye to the current Season 3! This Season will end many things, such as the Cosmic Gladiator PvP Season, the current Mythic+ affix (Encrypted) and the current pool of Mythic+ dungeons. However, this doesn't mean the adventure ends here... Season 4 will bring a few new and exciting, interesting things. First, the new PvP Season, called Eternal Gladiator, will start. The Season will also get a whole new pool of Mythic+ dungeons, a New Affix (Shrouded) and a new mechanic to all currently existing SL raids and World Bosses called Fated! Despite not adding new dungeons or raids, this will add new content to all existing content, having new ways to re-experiment all the content, with new challenges to overcome! This new Season will be implemented in Oribos and start on Monday, May 8th, at 10:00! Note: This means both the Valor and Conquest points will be reset as soon as the season starts. As always, we will dig deep into each feature of this Season. Let's go! NEW PVE SEASON Season 3 ends, and Season 4 starts! This new Season will bring two big things to the realm, which will be thoroughly detailed next. The first one is a new feature called Fated Raids, where players will have a new challenge for all the old raids from Shadowlands and better rewards. The second one is a new Mythic+ dungeon pool, but this time, many dungeons come from old expansions such as BFA, Legion and Draenor! This Season will be perfect for reliving old content and finding a new challenge in old content! Of course, this new Season will have recent obtainable achievements and rewards based on the seasonal Mythic+ Rating achieved at any point during the Season: Shadowlands Keystone Explorer: Season Four: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 750 during Shadowlands Season Four. Shadowlands Keystone Conqueror: Season Four: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 1500 during Shadowlands Season Four. Title reward: %s the Shrouded. Shadowlands Keystone Master: Season Four: Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2000 during Shadowlands Season Four. Mount reward: Restoration Deathwalker Since this was already applied before, there will be no Valor Cap during the following Season, and it will remain like this with no changes. FATED MECHANIC This new feature is one of the central core mechanics of Season 4. Thanks to this new mechanic, even previous Shadowlands Raids and World Booses will become relevant again, adding a new challenge to all the previously visited places. Each week, a new rotation of raids and World Bosses will be applied, in which one raid and the World bosses associated with that raid will become Fated: During the first week of the release of Season 4, the raid Castle Nathria will start the cycle as Fated, while the other raids will remain untouched. Because of this, one of the World bosses associated with the raid's zone will also become Fated: Valinor, Mortanis, Oranomonos the Everbranching or Nurgash Muckformed. After the first week, the next raid, Sanctum of Domination, will become fated. The World Boss Mor'geth in the Maw will also be Fated. After that, the next raid will be Sepulcher of the First Ones, with the World Boss Antros in Zereth Mortis becoming Fated for that week. After that, the cycle will start again, Castle Nathria will be Fated, and so on! But what does Fated mean? What does it change? First, Fated will be a new mode that will be applied to every difficult mode of the raid, which means that the raid will have Fated Raid Finder, Fated Normal, Fated Heroic and Fated Mythic, respectively. Each difficult mode will have its rewards and associated achievements. Here, you can see a table of the rewards depending on what modality you are doing each raid: Note: The items obtained from Fated World Booses will have a fixed item level of 285, and the highest iLvl for each raid will only be dropped from the final 2 - 3 bosses of each raid. It will also increase the item level of the Conduits looted: When a raid is Fated, the enemies will be stronger, and new mechanics will be present during the encounter. Think about this as if the raid was on Mythic+ mode, with affixes that will determine the course of the raid. While only one Fated Power will usually be available at all times, a second one can be activated using the Titan Console at the start of each raid: Chaotic Essence, Creation Spark, Protoform Barrier and Reconfiguration Emitter. More information about it can be seen in this Wowhead guide: https://www.wowhead.com/guide/fated-raid-affixes-shadowlands-season-4#fated-raid-affixes. This new mechanic will bring new challenges to players and, obviously, achievements for those capable of overcoming them. In addition, some will get unique titles, teleports to raids, and even a unique mount! The Fated mechanic will also bring a new way to upgrade the newly obtained Fated Items to their version in Heroic and Mythic using Cyphers obtained from looting bosses in those difficulty modes. You will also be able to acquire specific pieces directly using the elusive Puzzling Cartel Dinars and spending them on specific sellers around the Great Vault in Oribos! This guide has more information about upgrading and purchasing items using these resources. MYTHIC+ DUNGEONS AND POOL When the next Season starts, we will have a change in the entire pool of dungeons! As a difference from the previous seasons, this one will have a pool of dungeons from past expansions. The first six dungeons are both wings of the mega-dungeons released in past expansions (Tazavesh from Shadowlands, Operation: Mechagon from Battle for Azeroth, and Return to Karazhan from Legion), as well as two dungeons from the Warlords of Draenor expansion! The list of dungeons is as follows: Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder, from Shadowlands Tazavesh: So'leah’s Gambit, from Shadowlands Operation Mechagon: Junkyard, from Battle for Azeroth Operation Mechagon: Workshop, from Battle for Azeroth Return to Karazhan: Lower, from Legion Return to Karazhan: Upper, from Legion Grimrail Depot, from Warlords of Draenor Iron Docks, from Warlords of Draenor On top of that, there will be a new Seasonal Affix for Mythic+, and it'll be Shrouded! This new affix will spawn an NPC from Cartel Ta at the beginning of each dungeon. This NPC will show bounties to hunt dreadlords inside the dungeon, rewarding stacks of secondary stat bonuses, which will last for the duration of the dungeon! Players will get one stat or another depending on the type of bounty. This will cause certain NPCs to be replaced by dreadlords with visual aura, making them easier to spot. There's more to cover about this affix, so we recommend players check out this guide. There will be several achievements for completing different dungeons on a Mythic Level 20 or more within the time limit. Each achievement (for Grimrail Depot, Iron Docks, Return to Karazhan, Operation: Mechagon and Tazavesh) will also grant a teleport portal so you can go there immediately. ETERNAL GLADIATOR PVP SEASON With the end of Season 3 on Oribos, the Cosmic Gladiator season will finish, and in its place, the Eternal Gladiator Season will be active on the server. This means ending the current Season 3 and distributing all the rewards to the winners, including seasonal rewards and Firestorm points! You can find a post here detailing all the rewards that will be distributed and the tiers of winners. With this new Season, we will restart the leaderboards, and the Season should remain active for the next 5 to 6 months. It will also bring a significant gain on the item level of the PvP items. Here you can see a table of the new iLvl for the Eternal Gladiator items: Everything else should remain the same. However, this guide shows you all the information about the costs of upgrading items and sellers. BORIS IS BACK Of course, he is! After spending a few weeks hunting Easter Eggs and having fun, he's back to aid players on their adventures during this new Season! And what better way to do this than offering a Character Level boost to Level 60 with essential gear? It may not be much, but it's honest work. And did we mention that he's doing it for free? However, he'll be gone by May 15th, so don't wait too much! He will boost one character per account starting on May 8th; the perfect opportunity to try a new character class! He will also be waiting on every other expansion, giving a character boost on each realm. If you want to try older expansions, this is a good opportunity! And that will be all for the content of this new Season! Although it does not have unique content per se (regarding newly released dungeons or raids), this new system will allow players to have a new challenge in many different places, with improved rewards and achievements! We will monitor the progress of the best guilds in terms of Fated raids and the best players during this Eternal Gladiator's PvP season. We hope to see a lot of players giving their all to be on top of the lists and become the best of the best! Very soon, we will start talking about our current development of Dragonflight. Do not worry, we've already developed quite some content, but we want to wait a bit more before we can start hyping you guys with the new expansion. Let's end this expansion with the culmination of Season 4! Until then, we hope you have a fantastic week, and we'll see you soon! The Firestorm Team

  3. Hey guys! We found a priest spell bug in arenas, "Mind Control" After the enemy priest charming my healer, he cant heal me and cant give me deffensive cooldowns. There is a short video from it.
  4. Hey, i really don't like whining about this i mean everyone wants that firestorm earn some cash to backup server but.. Well there is literally no balance or fun in pvp. The templates here is totally suck. Unlike legion the armor and hp is not scale correctly nor the damages. When a full geared ( mostly staff members wich earns free coin each month ) gets into arena 300k hp 30 ilvl and 10 trait difference is might seems low to you guys but for those whom love to do arena it's literally f.ck fest. Seen a guy wich doubles your hp in arena and your damage of course is very much disapointing. Not the mention that they grinds arena without any sweat. On the legion even if you get full gear thanks to templates there wasn't any big differences. But here is like full gear 1 player worth regular 2 player in both hps and dps. I am not saying remove the f.kin full gear option since you might be earning some support but at least fix the damn templates properly so people can enjoy arenas and pvp fairly.
  5. Hello, So ehm im queing 2s as usual and then theres this paladin doing some crazy DPS which seems a bit of. yes paladins go zug zug with wings up. But how about the CD on Hammer of Justice? I believe its Affected by haste no? Basically this guy has too much haste Even his Armory says 62%???????????????????????????? https://firestorm-servers.com/en/community/armory/8/8/9442552 I spam this the other day in Discord and after a short while it went back to like 25% and now again 62%? I check other people and their stats and confirmed with them and its accuretae. How do we explain 62% HASTE????
  6. Since the server is actually not active in PvP lets merge with other servers already, so we can actually make PvP Pwow and warmane should rethink this cuz expansion is almost 10 years old u should think about 1 major MoP server.
  7. This is a glitch that has been happening a lot to me. I'll be playing as normal, no war mode on, no taking any actions against the other faction but suddenly I'll be flagged for pvp. I haven't attacked another player or healed anyone of my own faction. I checked all my abilities to see if there was something that inadvertently heals someone else but I can't find anything. I've had this happen on several different classes. This has been happening a lot at world boss but also out in the world too. What can I do?
  8. Hello i want to say that there is problem with Headless Horseman dungeon right now on Sethraliss, there is no bonus loot when you finish dungeon you only get some gold, you don't get Loot-Filled-Pumpkin which contains few things and the mount Headless Horseman Reins that can drop it from, dis are some screen shots from how it should be and how is now on Sethraliss.
  9. Dear all, Current situation: Me (DH) and a colleague (Warrior) like to spend time together in Discord. We are casual players and occasionally do PVP and quests (Daily, Visions and so on) together. We do not belong to any guild. We would like a third colleague who wants to have fun and likes to play WoW for fun. In addition, we think that we could definitely use a death knight to do open PVP. If you speak German and/or English, you are welcome. Just let me know (/w during game) Kind regards
  10. Hi everyone! i was wondering about merge groups with cross-faction raid and dungeon like retail while dungeons-in-timetravel through patches is possible, so why can't we use Dungeon or Raid Finder to group our friends in the other side? (because is already possible to do cross-faction bgs why not also arenas?) Thanks, Kaalari.
  11. Dear Firestormers & Firestorm Staff, First off, Happy Easter to all of you and your families- I have always been playing on Sethraliss on the Horde side and I have to admit, quite frankly I was blind to this, to say the least, huge issue there is on this server. That being said, I decided to pass my comments along with you, as you might have been unintentionally leaving it unnoticed as well, just like I was. Unless taken measures in a timely manner, believe me, it will become worse, drastically worse. About 1-2 months ago I decided to reroll to the Alliance faction, just for the purpose of it. I also want to mention that I have a good 11+ years of experience in WoW so I certainly was not making a fool of myself thinking I was going to have a great time in terms of World PvP. Hordes, of course, have always been PvP dominant since the early ages of this game. Here, however, I am distressed by the fact that at this very moment we have a growing crisis on our hands that impacts lots of players and would continue to do so unless something's done. More specifically, I am talking about the glaring imbalance between the Horde and the Alliance players ratio. I am sure many people would agree there certainly are more horde players on this server and that impacts not only the economy of each faction in general, including raids, dungeons, etc. being run each day but something even more important - their gaming experience overall. Their gaming experience sounds "a bit too much" to you? Well, let me tell you... Today, 19/04/2020, Stormwind City has been raided and obliterated by probably more than a hundred horde players. The intruders occupied the entire Trade District and made it almost impossible to leave the area, as they were literally behind each corner and you weren't able to simply mount up and fly away upon your revival. Even if you somehow managed to escape, after being chased down by a couple of them, numerous underleveled alliances have been forced to move to different areas or log off their accounts and hope for the storm to pass sooner. Although, these capital city raids have also happened in the past and are an inevitable part of the WoW PvP history and experience in general, right? Yes, you are indubitably right. Nevertheless, my main concern, that caused me to feel compelled to bring this topic up is that more and more people are getting exhausted with being a defined minority and this begins a snowball of players creating new characters in the horde faction. For example, after this particular event happened today, more than ten people stated their opinion on world_en, which was something in the lines of "I'm tired of this and I am moving to horde". Also, while on that note, you might as well go ahead and check the PvP Leaderboards of the server; first page: 1 alliance out of 15 players total, second page: 2-3 alliances to 12-13 hordes ratio, and so on... The point is that the more experienced, also "better" in terms of competitive PvP players have moved to the Horde side, notably for that reason. That itself also impacts the situation in a similar manner. Though, the real problem isn't that the alliance patrons are a bunch of cowards and prefer running away rather than standing their ground and fighting for it. The problem is the fact We, the Alliance players, simply don't have the numbers to fight and are left no other option but to flee, in this particular scenario. Dear fellow Firestormers, I am kindly asking you, especially if you are a new player here or one considering creating your next character - choose the Alliance side, as we DO need you to fight alongside us, the ones who lost the battle but not the war. Dear Alliance players, hang in there, I am sure we will soon prevail and make Stormwind City a "safer place" for all of us. If there are people interested in starting a guild with me, I am more than happy to offer my help. I am working during the week and don't have much time to run a guild myself, so if there are kind and responsible people, experienced guild officers, willing to support me in this, please go ahead and let me know, either PM me, whisper me or if I'm not online - send me a mail in-game, my nickname is Boonklol. Dear Horde players, please keep doing what you're doing, keep raiding Stormwind City, because soon you will not have that highhandedness and perhaps you will be the one defending Orgrimmar, as opposed to attacking us. Dear Firestorm Staff, this is not the first time I personally encounter this issue on a private server and I've been part of another server development in the past. Please, consider providing small XP boosts for example or even better - start working on a small "program" that will draw more people into choosing Alliance over Horde, at least for a while, until everything balances out. Important, please start small. This, in my opinion, is a very serious topic that needed to be addressed for the sake of all people on your server trying to have fun in their free time. I do hope if you find this whole thing reasonable, to gradually start working on a solution. Following that, it would be awesome if there's a way more people have the time to see this post before it sinks into the depths of the new-coming forum topics, as it might take a while until everything works out. Thank you! Thank you for your attention and just in case you're wondering, no I am not out of my mind, I just have lots of spare time now, considering the global situation, that I choose to fill by trying to make something impactful for the good of all of us here. Making fun is the main purpose of all that and having your capital city raided by the opposite faction most certainly is part of the fun, indeed. But being killed over and over without a single chance to withstand is definitely not fun times at all. Best wishes, Boonklol
  12. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone on this server would be interested in making a 90-91 twink raiding guild with me? Can be either horde or alliance, doesn't bother me which side it's on. If you have any questions or want to know more please feel free to message me on here or contact me on my discord Reedpriest#1003. thank you and have a wonderful day or night wherever that you may be in the world.
  13. Greetings, there is currently an issue on your WoD server where it says "There is no connection to the cross-server" whenever anybody tries to queue 2v2,3v3,bg,rbg or anything. We cannot even send tickets to GMs. I see nobody has reported this issue but funnily enough players have enough time to report players, sad times we live in. Thanks in advance.
  14. I'm gonna keep it short, due to server population or competetive sides of factions alliance is constantly loosing in bgs, yesterday i lost 20bg. There is a simple way to fix this, make bgs crossfaction thats it.

  17. Hello, I have been researching for the past couple of days and I can't seem to get a straight answer on what are the top PvP DPS classes in MoP. What are your recommendations? I will be playing with a healer in 2v2 arenas eventually since I have a friend of mine joining FS to play to. Thanks!
  18. Hello, I have just returned back to FS after taking a break from BFA, I am trying to dive into SL now and looking to start a class I have not played yet. I decided to go with Shaman and was wondering what would be the best PVP spec for the current patch between ele and enhance. I plan on being a healer mostly but as an offspec in case I want to play DPS in PVP i would like to a spec that would be a good alternative. I have been taking a look online but I not getting any real information on patch 9.0.5 on shamans. Any recommendations between both ele and enhance? Thanks for the advice!
  19. Greetings everyone! As we previously announced, next Wednesday, April 13th, all ratings will be reset and we are going to start the new season on Oribos in order to have a new challenge, so make sure to prepare your partner and of course your champion. PVP SEASON Let's get into the rewards thresholds of the previous season; 2v2 bracket: Titles and Achievements; Top 7: Sinful Gladiator: Shadowlands Season 1, Gladiator: Shadowlands Season 1, Sinful Gladiator and Sinful Gladiator's Soul Eater. Top 15: Gladiator: Shadowlands Season 1 and Sinful Gladiator's Soul Eater. Not only that but also there will be Firestorm points that are going to be distributed as the following; Top 1-10: 1500 Firestorm Points. Top 11-20: 700 Firestorm Points. Top 21-30: 455 Firestorm Points. Top 31-50: 240 Firestorm Points. KORRAK'S REVENGE (ALTERAC VALLEY CLASSIC) We decided that it's better to give some information about the newest opened Battleground on our servers at the moment which is "Korrak's Revenge (Alterac Valley Classic)", this BG is the PvP special event during WoW's Anniversary that puts players in the classic Alterac Valley. First, The levels on that battleground doesn't matter because players can enter it with different levels. The goal from the battleground is to gain levels and gear. Your level will be increased until 60, not only that but also the gear ilvl can be increased to 158. Second, Capturing towers and all that stuff in the battleground will increase the multiplier for gaining experience. Third, With Timewalking currency, you can purchase some items which some of them can be listed as the following: Also, Other than that, there will be a vendor that sells Timewarp gear and it will be a better option for low level players. Finally, You have to know that all quests are daily, some are repetitive but we will exclude the Battle of Alterac Valley quest which is weekly. We can say this battleground will be a good addition to low level players to gain levels fast so gather your friends and prepare yourself for that challenge that will re-ignite the spark of war! Congratulations to all the winners and good luck for this new season! Have a great day, The Firestorm Team
  20. Greetings everyone! It's been less than a month since we mentioned our upcoming stuff on Oribos and we definitely didn't lie about that since we are here today to let you know that all of the stuff are ready to go into our server. As we said before, everything looks good since the release and we spend most of our time if not all on improving the current content with working on new ones. We can say that we are close to be done with 9.0 & 9.05 content and our next plan will be 9.1 but it will take some time which is not that far too so don't worry. That's why we keep releasing new stuff such us our full time & week-end events that can make your stay with us enjoyable and busy you during that time. So i guess it's time to dig in and see what we are going to get now, lets go! RECRUIT A FRIEND We will start with "Recruit a Friend" system that we mentioned before, it's now a new and improved one. In a simpler way: You will be able to recruit a friend using an easy way and in return you both will receive some exclusive rewards, lets not talk about it here more than we said since you can find a detailed topic about that here, make sure to read it! MYTHIC + TIMEWALKING BATTLE FOR AZEROTH Now moving to our next and most wanted content "Timewalking", it wasn't that hard to do in such small time since our developers spent their full time to get that content ready so you have extra stuff to do. It's time to make your footstep into Timewalking dungeons and try to earn your place among the best players to get the rewards you deserve. We've made a separate topic in details about Timewalking, how will it work and the rewards you will get in return. You can find all information here. The Firestorm Team wishes you all a happy Easter! EGG HUNT We can't get away from here without the Easter Egg hunt! You will be able to participate in the Easter Egg hunt if you're playing on Shadowlands (Oribos) since you will be able to seek for eggs, some hidden, some in plain sight, so lets see what you will find! These eggs will be spread all over the places: In order to get what is inside, you simply need to click on them. You will receive random loots with the possibility of getting rare collectibles! This event will be up from Friday, April 15th, until Monday, April 18th, don't miss it out! PVP SEASON It's not a surprise anymore but it's needed at the moment, we can't leave you without a new season challenge. On Wednesday, April 13th, the current season will be reset and a new season will start, so prepare your champion for a new challenge incoming! Rewards of the previous season will be distributed as soon as possible, you can find more information about the rewards here. The PvP tournament is still being worked on, we didn't forget about it because we want to make something great for our players, not just a normal one. Just keep your eyes on our upcoming announcements. Note: Alterac Valley (Korrak's Revenge), we have given a small brief about that largest Battleground (up to 40v40), it's enabled right now and it has a lot of special rewards and those rewards will be replenished depending on the build. You can read more about it and its rewards here. As you read, we have so many features and events to give, all you have to do is to enjoy what we are providing, you will be busy the whole time with us here. It's very important to get your attention with us because entertainment is our main goal here. We hope you will enjoy all the events and features we have now, and that's not only what we are able to give, there is more and more! Have a nice weekend, The Firestorm Team
  21. [A] <Mugiwara> Is currently recruiting experienced, exceptional players as we progress through Shadowlands. Lets build a warm and competitive community together. DM me or reply to this post if you are interested.
  22. Hi, I'm Elyra, multirank 1 from Hellscream realm and I want to share with you my new pvp vid. I focused more on the editing than on the gameplay, so don't expect an "AT style" movie Thx for watching
  23. PvP scaling PvP scaling is a PvP game mechanic introduced with Battle for Azeroth. It adjusts the damage dealt to enemy players as well as healing to friendly players while engaged in PvP combat to partially compensate for gear item level differences between players. It is only applied to players between levels 110 to 120 and is intended to reduce the power gains acquired from gear in PvP, but not completely negate it.[1] It is applied in all PvP activities such as world PvP, arenas, battlegrounds and duels. Contents 1In-depth explanations 1.1Example 2Additional information 3References In-depth explanations When player A deals damage to player B, the game server adjusts the damage dealt by a coefficient computed from player A character level, player A equipment item level, player B character level and player B equipment item level. If player A and player B are both level 120 and have exactly the same item level in every equipment slot, then the scaling coefficient is 1 and no scaling occurs. Otherwise, damage scaling will occur and player A will see unscaled damage in his combat log whereas player B will see the scaled damage in his combat log. The scaling coefficient can be determined by dividing the damage seen by player B by the damage seen by player A. Scaling applies equally to all sources of damage including auto-attack, class abilities, consumables and trinkets. Example Player A is a veteran, well-geared level 120 character and player B has just hit 120 and barely has any gear. Player A casts Fireball on player B and sees 10000 damage on his screen and combat log. Player B sees on his screen and combat log that this Fireball has actually dealt 8000 damage to him. Player B health is reduced by 8000 and we can deduce the scaling coefficient of player A against player B is SA/B = 8000 / 10000 = 0.8 Scaling coefficient of player B against player A will be the inverse: SB/A = 1 / SA/B = 1 / 0.8 = 1.25 Player B then retaliates with his own Fireball which only deals 6000 damage. Player A will actually take 7500 damage: 6000 x SB/A = 6000 x 1.25 = 7500 Additional information The following information has been discovered through in-game testing: Buffs or class modifiers (such as passive tank health increase) do not affect the scaling coefficient. Only equipped gear is considered for PvP scaling; items held in bags or bank do not affect the scaling coefficient. Scaling helps the under-geared player, up to a minimum item level of 286 in the equipment slot at level 120. For this reason, players should never go in PvP with empty equipment slots. This can be verified in-game with /run print(GetAverageItemLevel()) while being naked: the third value which corresponds to PvP item level will be 286. Equipment slots are weighted to compute scaling coefficient. For example, weapon slot contributes more and ring slots contribute less to the final scaling coefficient. Different items with the same item level in the same equipment slot will result in the same scaling coefficient regardless of the presence of enchantments or minor attributes such as Leech, Speed and Avoidance. Gems do contribute to the scaling coefficient (an empty gem socket doesn't). Gems previously didn't contribute to the scaling coefficient due to the abuse of players equipping low-level gear with many gem slots, this has been hotfixed.[2] Damage numbers displayed on battlefield and arena scoreboards are consistent when viewed by different players. It shows the sum of all scaled damage dealt by each player. Healing numbers behave similarly. References ^ Phalanx 2018-06-29. Forum: Scaling details please. 24. Hello, dear FS. Let me share the story with you, how FS admin, and the owner of the project, betrail our community. Some of you probably heard about PVP 2s Tournament which was taken place last Sunday, Oct. 3rd. This tournament was fully organized by two players, Dusti and Daug. Daug was given away the reward for the 1st place - full bis charter. Shortly after announcement, FS admin Shelby agreed to help with tournament, FS administration made an annoucement in discord channels plus Shelby agreed to give away gold points to the 8 teams - 100 € gold points equivalent for the 2nd place, 50€ for the third, 25€ for the 4th place. Here is the schreenshot as a proof of that Of course, it attracted many players, including me and my 2s partner, to participate. As a result, event had 32 players with 8 teams. Some people had take a day off from work to come, some had give up a holiday to participate. Personally, I had to wake up 4 am my local time in order to fight for the prize. We spent 4 hours for the event, fighting on the arena. The event went well, most of people did enjoy it, the winners were defined. The rewards to the 8 teams promised to be distributed within few days. On Tuesday, Shelby told us in 2s tournament discord group ( https://discord.gg/CC25QKj7 check it by yourself) that he wont give any rewards because one of the event holders (Dusti) said on his stream that on his opinion FS QA and developers are bad, and if FS will fix that, it could be a really good server. You can check that clip https://streamable.com/b53ox8 Only because of these words server owner decided not to keep his word and just shit on whole pvp community. I think most of you will agree to me, that it's not honest not to keep your word already after event is finished. People spent their time and effort for this event. So, if you don't keep your word after the work is done, what kind of person are you? True, a lier, the one who doesnt deserve any trust. More absurd here, is that according to the Shelby logic, people who participated in the event ARE RESPONSIBLE for the words of other people (in that case it's Dusti). Let me share the screenshot: Shelby is saying that Dusti shit on server. You all can check the clip and make sure that Dusti just gave his personal critic regarding 1 aspect of the server, it was already after the event. There were no hate, there were no trashtalk, just his personal opinion and it was given in a very polite manner. The only person who "shit on the server" in that case, is Shelby. He gave a word to support the event, give away the rewards to the players, but instead he just shown his total disrespect to the whole PVP community. Several people confirmed that Shelby is the main admin, so I dont expect that my post will change his opinion or some1 will fix his mistake and justice will prevail. At least, as a player, I can let all you guys know, who is the server owner really is. Shelby is not able to take any criticism, even in a light form, he doesnt respect our community and doesnt keep his word. A few words personaly to Shelby, if you will read it. You were afraid to give the rewards just because it could bring damage to your (or server) reputation. In fact, no1 can bring more damage to FS reputation than you, man. And you just did it. As I said, the only one who shit on server in that case, is YOU. If you think that you can waste people time, promising them rewards, then just fraud them and they will forget it, you are totally wrong.
  25. Greetings ! As we previously announced, next Wednesday, October 6th will mark the beginning of the new season 4 for PVP, as a way to give it a fresh breath and add some new features to make the whole system less bothersome. On top of that, we also mentioned that we wanted to organize our very own Firestorm MDI: a Mythic+ dungeon tournament with real cash prizes and this refresh of a season is a great timing to get things started ! More details below related to its organization, how to participate etc: make sure to read through the whole post so you won't miss on anything NEW PVP SEASON Since the 8.3 update shipped around 6 months ago, puting an end to the current season allowed us to "refresh" the ladder, give some rewards in the meantime but also make some large-scale changes without introducing them mid-season. Starting Wednesday October 6th, with the new season (which will still be a season 4 reward-wise) we will implement changes that tackle the most important issues forwarded to us for the past month: Unfairness to fight better-geared players: while it's perfectly normal that someone who is 475 ilvl has an easier time fighting a 425 ilvl player, the difference seemed to be overwhelming to the point that there was no chance at all for players to climb above a certain rating in rated arenas. Back when Sethraliss was released we decided not to implement retail's scaling because it had too many flaws, so we scripted something similar but simpler that we can tweak easily in real-time to lesser the impact of ilvl differences: if you hit or heal someone who has better gear, your damage / heals will be boosted by a % calculated based on the ilvl gap. Obviously, you will never get an advantage by being the lower ilvl player, but this should render some matches a bit more skill based rather than relying solely on gear difference. We'll asses the initial values and tweak it if it's either too strong, or too weak to notice. The tedious process of gearing yourself: aside from being rewarded random gear at the end of battles, the current system gives you a specific piece of equipment when you cap your conquest each week, which sometimes mean you have to wait months before getting that piece you really need. So we're getting rid of that by introducing a custom PVP vendor which will sell every piece (and tokens to increase gear's ilvl) for conquest currency, located at your PVP hub in Mugambala or Hook Point. We're getting rid of the weekly quest, but you will still need to cap your conquest each week if you want to unlock the PVP weekly chest: aside from that you should be able to now regularly buy that specific gear your character is lacking ! The infamous wintraders: while our replay system made it impossible for high rated players to wintrade, some people still exploit the system to get gear at lower ratings, which is something troublesome. It makes it look unfair for those who play legit, and even if we catch them, everything they obtained will still remain after their account suspension has ended. Therefore, we will now remove every BFA gear from convicted wintraders depending on the case at hand. This should make most of them think twice before deciding to abuse this way. Our rulebook has been edited to reflect on that change, which you can access here. Echoes of Ny'alotha gains doubled: In every PVP activities you will receive twice as much echoes to help you get corruptions faster ! Malefic Core price halved: to help newcomers and alts increase their cloak level faster. While the last point isn't something that will really affect most of you, the first 2 are important changes that we think will help PVP as a whole, and may entice new players to try this very different aspect of World of Warcraft: if you have been hesitant to join the fray, now would be the time as it will feel fairer, and more rewarding ! We'll keep a close eye on their impact, and potentially tweak a thing or two based on your feedback: so don't hesitate ! FIRESTORM MDI Teased in our latest announce, it's now time to unveil the mysteries surrounding the Firestorm MDI first edition ! Special Thanks to Zuhal for his addon, and to Alexiuly for his help setting everything up The whole tournament will take place in 3 separated steps: Qualifiers 1st Round: Those will take place on Sethraliss starting Wednesday October 6th and will last around 4 weeks. Everyone's "dungeon skill" will be measured using a custom addon similar to Raider.io: the highest the key, and the faster the completion the better ! You can track your own Firestorm.io (or Fio) here (link to be added soon™). Once this round of qualifiers is over, we will select everyone above a certain rating to enter the 2nd phase. This first selection will be fairly lenient, to allow for newcomers to have a shot even if they don't have a full BIS character. Qualifiers 2nd Round: Those will take place on a separate realm only dedicated to the MDI. Those who qualify will be granted access, and will find there vendors with every piece of gear, essence and corruptions to make the optimal build on their characters, and create their team of 6 players (the 5 main + a sub). Once their team has been validated, they will then need to compete there and build up their Fio. The top X teams will then access the final phase: the tournament itself. The Tournament: This part will be fully streamed, with a double elimination bracket. Two teams will race each other on a designated dungeon at a set key, and the fastest to complete it will move forward until the best team has been revealed ! Obviously, any abuse / exploit used during the tournament will result in instant disqualification. All matches of the tournament will be reviewed to ensure fairness from all parts. The cashprize will include 7500 euros, Firestorm Points and exclusive in game rewards. The first team will get 5000 euros, while the rest will receive splits of the remaining amount depending on their placements. To help newcomers participate, we will also have a special Boris from Friday October 8th to Friday October 15th that will give 430 ilvl gear so you can start running Mythic+ right away ! This is our first time setting up something like this, but we want to give it our best, because it could be the first of many Firestorm MDI! So spread the word, start preparing and contacting potential teammates, because the battle will be fierce ! See you soon, The Firestorm Team
