INDEX 👉RAID - VAULT OF THE INCARNATES 👉DRAGONFLIGHT DUNGEONS 👉DRAGONFLIGHT MYTHIC+ DUNGEONS 👉DRAGONFLIGHT ZONES 👉CLASSES 👉DRAGONRIDING 👉PROFESSIONS 👉PvP 👉EVENTS AND SCENARIOS Greetings, players! After some time, keeping information for us and slightly teasing you occasionally, it's time to go all-in with Dragonflight! Because we all know that most of you want to see if we will release Dragonflight or even how the development of the expansion is. We assure you that months of work have already been poured into the expansion, and lots of content has been successfully added. Although the development is still a bit early, we can confidently show you how everything is developing and our expectations about each part. Soon enough, we will prepare a Closed Beta realm of Dragonflight. The realm will be exclusive for particular players, who will get invited based on activity, loyalty, and also by getting invited through events, giveaways and other means! We will also look for Influencers (streamers, Youtubers, etc.) to help us promote the expansion using our Closed Beta realm to review our content and showcase it for other players. If you want to work with us, please get in touch with us on Discord! We hope you enjoy it! 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 RAID - VAULT OF THE INCARNATES The first raid of the expansion is one of the most important features to add for PvE players, and so it has been in development for the longest time. Providing adventures, challenges, and ways to get gear has also been one of our main priorities, and we are sure you will be satisfied. Here's the current status of developments of the eight Dragonflight dungeons: Algeth'ar Academy: The development was finished some time ago, and many tests and fixes have been performed. The dungeon should be in an advanced status of stability and playability. Some more fixes will be applied during the Closed Beta phase of the realm. Brackenhide Hollow: The development was finished some time ago, and many tests and fixes have been performed. The dungeon should be in an advanced status of stability and playability. Some more fixes will be applied during the Closed Beta phase of the realm. Halls of Infusion: The development was finished some time ago, and many tests and fixes have been performed. The dungeon should be in an advanced status of stability and playability. Some more fixes will be applied during the Closed Beta phase of the realm. Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr: The development was finished quite recently. Tests are undergoing, and fixes will be applied soon. Expect the dungeon to change a lot during the Closed Beta. 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 DRAGONFLIGHT MYTHIC+ DUNGEONS Compared with the normal Dragonflight dungeons, these took longer to start developing and have ready. As a difference, 4 of these Mythic+ dungeons are Dragonflight dungeons, meaning we could not begin developing the Mythic+ version until the regular version was ready. On top of that, the other 4 Mythic+ dungeons come from old expansions' dungeons, which means that in some cases, a complete rewrite was necessary for the dungeon to be implemented on its Mythic+ version. In any case, here's the development status of the Mythic+ dungeons of Dragonflight! Algeth'ar Academy (Dragonflight): The development is finished, and tests are being performed. Ruby Life Pools (Dragonflight): The development is finished, and tests are being performed. The Azure Vault (Dragonflight): The development is finished, and tests are being performed. The Nokhud Offensive (Dragonflight): The development is finished, and tests are being performed. Temple of the Jade Serpent (Mists of Pandaria): The development is finished, and tests are being performed. Halls of Valor (Legion): The development is finished, and tests started being performed recently. Court of Stars (Legion): The development is finished, and tests started being performed recently. Shadowmoon Burial Grounds (Warlords of Draenor): Only the last boss is left to be finished, and then global tests will be performed on the dungeon. 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 DRAGONFLIGHT ZONES New expansion means new zones! The Dragon Isles bring us new places to explore and have adventures on, and of course, this also includes the starting zone of the new race: The Dracthyr! We will list the new zones and the current development status on them. Of course, being as massive as they are means they have lots of work to do. The Forbidden Reach (levels 58 - 60): The starting zone of the Dracthyr! Of course, the entire area has been scripted already, with all the primary quests implemented. The Waking Shores (levels 60 - 62): The first zone players see when arriving on the Isles! All the main questlines have been developed and implemented. 5 out of 6 side questlines have been implemented as well, and sadly, no World Quests have been done yet (but will be worked on and implemented during the Closed Beta). Ohn'ahran Plains (level 62 - 65): This is the second zone, home of the Green Dragonflight! The primary and side quests are fully implemented, and the World Quests are being worked on! They should be done before the release of the live realm! The Azure Span (level 65 - 68): A frigid zone, home of the Blue Dragonflight! Both the main and side quests are fully implemented. Almost all the World Quests have been implemented already, leaving just a few that will be done during the Closed Beta. The entire zone should be fully available when the live realm gets released! Thaldraszus (level 68 - 70): The seat of power of the Dragon Aspects and their flights! Also, where the main city is located: Valdrakken! For this zone, we know that all main questlines are done, one side questline is implemented for now, and some rares and treasures are finished. Everything else is currently under development, and most of them should be implemented during the Closed Beta stage. 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 CLASSES As always, every time there's a big update, like a whole new patch or, in this case, a new expansion, there are significant changes in the classes. Of course, this means that a lot of work will have to be done to ensure balance between classes, and since there's a new class called Evoker, extra work has to be done. Of course, our developers have been working on this since the beginning, having constant tests and fixes every day based on the reports. This is where the Closed Beta realm will shine the most: players will be able to join us to test the content of the realm and help us spot the issues with classes as quickly as possible. We know how hard it is to keep a perfect balance between classes, but we will keep working until we achieve this. On a side note, the class tier sets have been implemented and work! More tests will be done, but they should work almost as intended. Additionally, the third spec of the Evokers is disabled since it was added later in Patch 10.1.5. 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 DRAGONRIDING This is a whole new mechanic, bringing new challenges and many rewards! Dragonriding brings races across every zone of The Dragon Isles and overhauls how flying with dragons works from now on, making them more dynamic and fun to use! We are going to specify the status of development of the entire feature: Renown - Valdrakken Accord: Leveling up and progressing on the Valdrakken Accord renown tree, you can unlock many different types of rewards, such as additional quest chains, scenarios, collectables, cosmetics, techniques and more! All the rewards are working for now, but sadly, all the rewards that unlock new content, such as quest chains and more, have not been implemented yet (they are being worked on). Glyphs: Collectible items across the map that award you points to spend in the Dragonriding Talent system! All of the ones from patch 10.0.2 have been implemented! Talents: What good is it to get talent points if talents don't work? Although not all talents work, most do, and the rest will be implemented during the Closed Beta phase. Dragon Customization: This is one of the fun parts of the feature, where you can fully customize your Dragonriding experience! Many customization options will be unlocked by default, while many more will be unlocked using manuscripts. There are many different ways and sources to unlock the additional ones, and of course, since some of them depend on other quests and scenarios unlocked by the Valdrakken Accord renown system, not all of them will be available immediately. The feature works, of course! Races: This is one of the most critical aspects of the whole feature! Sadly, due to its complexity, the development has not been started yet, but it's planned! The race development will begin as soon as everything else is done, and we should see some progress during the Closed Beta! 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 PROFESSIONS In Dragonflight, professions are going through a massive overhaul that changes the system forever, adding new mechanics and ways to craft and send gear to people! Most of these mechanics have been under development for a long time, and we are pretty happy to share the progress here! Profession System Overhaul: Excellent progress has been made! The main crafting professions are done, but the development still hasn't started for the gathering ones. The new interface overhaul has been successfully implemented! Profession Talents: The development is quite advanced. Despite having all of the generic talents working, the specific ones have not been developed yet. However, work is underway, and they should all be done during the Closed Beta! Crafting Orders: A powerful new aspect of professions! The system works, but sadly, the six weekly quests related to it have not been performed yet. Introductory Questlines to the Professions: They have been implemented! Traders and Trainers Weekly Quests: 76 working quests (32 from the traders and 44 from the trainers) have been added to the Profession system! Hidden Profession Masters: 11 creatures that have been implemented to the server! Dragon Shards of Knowledge: Used to unlock specialized draconic knowledge about your chosen profession and can be earned from 11 quests, which are working and have been successfully developed! Profession Items that reward specialization items: Books, NPCs and many other sources that give you specialization points! They have also been implemented, as well as the whole system, which is making a comeback! Hidden Profession Treasures: There are 57 of them, and sadly, they have not been implemented yet. We may see some progress during the Closed Beta! 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 PvP The PvP is always a significant part of the game. Although this expansion doesn't bring any significant PvP changes or new features, it brings a whole new class, spicing up things to find new top PvP combinations and arena partners to dominate your opponents! The PvP gear and vendors for Season 1 of Dragonflight have been scripted and are working as intended! Of course, the airdrops have also been implemented. The new currency of the expansion, the Bloody Tokens, the different ways of obtaining them, the related items to them and the vendors related to this currency have also been scripted. Similarly, the Trophy of Strife also works and can upgrade the corresponding gear successfully. The awards from battlegrounds and arenas are not fully implemented yet, but they are currently being worked on! The new Solo Shuffle feature has not started yet but will be implemented. The new arena of Dragonflight, the Nokhudon Proving Grounds, has not been implemented yet. 👈 Back 👈 - ☝️ Index ☝️ - 👉 Next 👉 EVENTS AND SCENARIOS Alongside the usual content, this expansion brings many open-world events and scenarios players can unlock and play! Fighting scenarios, Profession events, questing locations, you name it! Community Feasts (cooking event): It has been fully scripted! Fishing Holes (fishing event): It has been fully scripted! Grand Hunt (fighting event): It is currently being developed in the Ohn'aras Plains. Siege on Dragonbane Keep (fighting event): The development will start after Grand Hunt's development is finished. Obsidian Citadel (questing place): The development will start very soon, and we should see some progress during the Closed Beta. It contains one weekly world quest, four rare events; nine rares and over 15 daily quests. Aylaag Camp (questing event): The development will start very soon. This event brings three camps to phase, six daily quests per camp, which means 18 total quests. Trial of Flood (fighting event): The development for this feature has not started yet. Trial of Elements (fighting event): The development for this feature has not started yet.

Greetings everyone! We promised you news regarding the 9.2 update, and this post is here to do it! Most of our developers have been working on 'Eternity's End' for a while now, while others stayed on our current patch to make sure everything's running smoothly and that the remaining content - like Sanctum Mythic Mode - isn't delayed much. It's always something we have to balance when reaching the end of a patch, and we keep on assessing the global state of things to make sure we're splitting forces in the best way possible. As such, while Sylvanas got released quite recently you can rest assured: the state of 9.2 is quite advanced; we expect the update to be shipped in a few months. An important thing to note is that this patch will require a client update considering we're currently running a 9.1.5 client. Not to worry this only means a small .exe to replace (done automatically if you're using our launcher!), and a quick additional waiting time on your first new client launch. With the foreword now covered, we can get into detail regarding the new content shipped with this update, as well as its current state of advancement: Zereth Mortis: The forbidden land of the first ones, and the brand new zone of the patch. It includes: 7 story chapters of which 4 are scripted, which is enough to grant flying in the zone. First 3 will be released day 1, and then an additional one every week or so. World and daily quests: currently 17 out of 25 are scripted. Mini side-questlines needed to unlock flying: 2 of them are done, only one remaining! Rares & treasures are being worked on right now. Most of them will be available on release, the missing ones will join them shortly after. Cypher of the First Ones, a special talent tree requiring to farm a new currency has seen its development begin recently. It will allow you to gain different perks in-game, as well as a few collectibles. Torghast receives a new wing: Jailer's Gauntlet, a mini boss-rush type of run. It has been tested already, and works like a charm! Sepulcher of the First Ones: This new raid contains 11 bosses from which 2 are already scripted, alongside all the trashes from the raid. Those 2 are currently being tested and 2 developers are working on the remaining 9, with a third joining shortly. Tazavesh, the Veiled Market split: The megadungeon will be split into 2 normal sized ones, each part available in every difficulty including Mythic+. Everything's been done, and tests are ongoing. Class Tier Sets: After 2 expansions, they're making their return! Their effects are being scripted, and the new Creation Catalyst system which allows you to craft them will be worked on soon. Encrypted Affix: The new seasonal affix for the 3rd season has been fully scripted and implemented on every dungeon. Tests are being run to make sure it works properly. Cosmic Gladiator PVP Season: We're testing rewards and item upgrades to ensure everything is ready for the new season. The new 'Solo Shuffle' mode is also working! Class Balancing: alongside the new class tier sets, we have dedicated developers actively working on it, which will continue to do so once the update is shipped. Regarding the missing content from before the 9.2, players have been asking for information, and we are here to deliver it! Chains of Domination chapters: 3 chapters are missing, and one is almost done! You can expect chapter 7 to be released in 1 to 2 weeks, while chapters 8 and 9 will take a few more weeks. Do not worry, as the 3 missing chapters will be released before 9.2 arrives! Covenants chapters: Although we would like to have these ready before 9.2, the truth is that some of these chapters will take a lot of time to fully finish. Each covenant has big scenarios that need to be scripted, which would take too much time. To not delay the release of the new patch, we are putting the development of these on hold. We apologize. Mage Tower: Something similar here happens with the covenant chapters. While this content is very interesting, it would take too much time to have it fully ready before the 9.2 comes. However, we believe we can actually start working on this after the 9.2 is released, while we develop the content of the patch. No promises, though! Some exciting new content for sure! As you can see most of them are close to a releasable state but as usual, we want to make sure we maintain the quality you're being used to - and deserve. Once we're getting closer to the release you can expect a more detailed post of all those new features, our present goal being to keep you updated on the state of advancement rather than the content itself. You'll also then find a guide on how to update your client and everything you'll need to know! Until then, thank you for your time and fidelity. The Firestorm Team

Greetings everyone! As we've been telling you in our latest announcements regarding Oribos, our focus has been for the past months on the 9.1 Patch: Chains of Domination. We've currently exhausted most of the 9.0 and 9.0.5 content, therefore 9.1 is our next main stop: while it's still a tad too early to disclose an official release date, know that it's going to be very soon! Our developers have been working hard and our testers spent the past weeks verifying every new feature and change. You'll be happy to know it's now in really good shape, and we wanted to take a moment to share with you the state of advancement, just like we did prior to Oribos's release. We won't get too much in-depth (this will come in the next post !) so don't worry: no boring details here! One last thing before we jump in: since our client is already in 9.1.5, you won't have to download - or do - anything when this update ships Korthia and Desmotaeron: The 2 new zones of the patch, where you will spend most of your time. The main questline is scripted up to the 3rd chapter (4th is under dev), but daily quests aren't there yet. A good portion of rares and treasures are already there, and the 2 new factions are fully scripted! The World Boss will be worked on this week. Most of the remaining work is gonna be put on adding what's missing, as well as scripting the rest of the story's chapters. Torghast: The Tower of the Damned received a loooot of changes and new additions, which have all been scripted already as our dev began working on it early. Our Quality Assurance team is currently testing and giving feedback to make sure everything works fine for the release. Sanctum of Domination: The new raid of 9.1 has 8 bosses out of 10 scripted in LFR, NM, and HM difficulties. The first wing has already been fully tested, and the testers are now focussing on later ones. Achievements are done, and Mythic Mode development will being once the remaining 2 bosses are done. Real-condition tests will be done before the release to ensure no issue hinders the progress Tazavesh, the Veiled Market: A new megadungeon with 8 bosses. All of them have been tested several times, including the hard mode which still requires additional verifications. First boss is still missing the intro, which is mandatory to test its hardmode. Tormented Affix: The new seasonal affix for the Mythic+ 2nd season has been fully scripted and implemented on every dungeon. Tests are next to complete. Unchained Gladiator PVP Season: We're testing rewards and item upgrades to make sure everything is ready for the new season. The ilvl increase for pvp gear in pvp context is already scripted and working! Renown rewards: They have all been worked on by our developers and are still being tested. Class Balancing: Since we're already working with the 9.1.5 class state from the moment Oribos was released, no changes are to be expected in that regard. Obviously, class balancing is an everlasting process and some of our developers are still working on it every day! This pretty much does it! As you can see, most of the new contents and changes are at least close to being done, with only additional testings to be done, to make sure this gets to you as fast as possible - but also in the best state possible! Stay close, as our release post will follow shortly, this time with more detailed information and guides so when the update hits live you'll be fully prepared! Thank you for your time and fidelity, The Firestorm Team

Greetings everyone ! Yes, Shadowlands is coming soon. We've been working on it for the past months, and things are improving day by day on almost every aspect of the game ! It's not ready yet, but we'll soon be able to open a PTR like we did for Battle for Azeroth: a closed-access realm with invites being granted at an increasing rate. This will happen in November, so we're close ! It's planned to have it going for around a month with some content being added, switched with others to make sure everything gets reviewed so that the actual release of our realm happens as smoothly as possible ! When the time comes, another announcement will be made with details on how to download the client, what content will be available to test etc. Important thing to note: we'll release the client in 9.1 directly (but starting with 9.0 content, as usual) to allow for smoother updates and get the 9.1 class balance. We still have a month to make sure we're ready for that PTR release (and we'll be working as hard as ever !) but we wanted to share the current state of affairs with you to give you a better idea of what you can expect ! We're gonna remain focused on the state of each feature rather than a thorough explanation of what they are, but we'll include links so you can read about them if you' want to know more about the Shadowlands specifics We're really excited for this as we're sure most of you also are, so without further ado: Exile's Reach: This is the new level 1-10 zone where every race will make their baby steps. Much more "casual friendly" than what we currently had up until BFA, everyone will have to go through there first. It's gonna be finished in a few days and then our QA will test it so it's been properly tested before it ends up on the PTR. If you want more info, you can check this guide Chromie Time: This feature allows every player reaching level 11 to chose on which expansion they want to level up, scaling every creature & quests up to level 50. At first, we'll force everyone to chose for BFA since this is our best-scripted expansion (which has already been fully retested on SL). This means that alongside Exile's Reach, all of the leveling should be smooth & without any bugs ! In the future, we'll script Legion, and then eventually other expansions choices. If you want more info, you can check this guide Shadowlands' Intro: Starting automatically once you reach level 50, you'll go to ICC to begin your new journey, then to The Maw for some quests which then leads to Oribos, the expansion's main city. Already tested, it's working really well. Shadowlands' new zones: Bastion (level 50-52) - Madraxxus (level 52-54) - Ardenweald (level 54-57) - Revendreth (level 57 - 60) are all fully scripted including the World Quests, excepted for Bastion which should be finished in the following weeks. All 4 of them will be available on the PTR. The Maw (level 60+) while you'll be getting in and out of it during your leveling, the zone itself at max level hasn't been worked on yet, but since it's not much (short questline + a few dailies / weeklys / rares) it might be available for the PTR, albeit not right away. It's supposed to be the prerequisite to access Thorgast, but we will remove that condition on PTR if needed ! If you want more info, you can check this guide Torghast: 3 Wings (out of 6) are currently working, and almost all anima powers are scripted. The intro questline will be worked on soon, which includes some scenarios inside of Thorgast so you can get a grasp of its functioning. If you want more info, you can check this guide Covenants: Those 4 families (linked to the first 4 zones of Shadowlands) will have enough chapters scripted so you can access their spells, conduits, soulbinds, followers, missions & callings. They aren't ready yet, but should be for the PTR (maybe not right away, but during its time). If you want more info, you can check this guide Dungeons: All 8 should be available for the release, most during the PTR. Some are in a more advanced state than others (3 of them aren't fully scripted yet but should be soon). Affixes have been scripted & updated, and the rewards as well (including the new weekly chest, which has been redesigned entirely !) If you want more info, you can check this guide Raid: Castle Nathria: Every bosses are scripted in all difficulties, and testings have started progressively (first wings having received more feedback than last ones). It will be fully available on the PTR so you can check it thoroughly ! If you want more info, you can check this guide Legendaries: The crafting system has been scripted for a while, and so were most of the spells but because of their complex nature some are still in need of a review. They should be available for the PTR. If you want more info, you can check this guide Classes: As mentioned it will be 9.1 balancing, and their scripting has begun recently. Everything will be fully ready for the actual release, with the finishing touches applied during PTR time. This pretty much does it ! As you can see, most of the new systems are at least almost finished for the dev part, and testings have started for a while now. We haven't gone in depth of their core functioning because this would be fairly long, but we advise you to read the linked guides, which contain every information you may need ! Shadowlands brings a lot of new things that you will (re)discover soon, so having a bit of information beforehand can't hurt ! When the PTR opening date is set, we will provide more detailed guides of the available systems, as well as how you can help improving their quality for the release: we'll first invite our most active players, while steadily expanding the filter. There isn't much more to wait, and with the new PVP season & the MDI on Sethraliss you should have plenty of things to do while increasing your chances to be selected first for the PTR ! While all this happens, our developers and Quality Assurance members are giving their best We'll see you in a few weeks for more information regarding Shadowlands, in the meantime we wish you a nice experience on Firestorm ! Thank you for your time and fidelity, The Firestorm Team

Greetings, BFA ! It's been a month and a half since TEP's 2nd wing got released, and it is now time to press on! We're going to release the Eternal Palace's 3rd and Final Wing, 'The Circle of Stars' on Wednesday, October 21nd! Some unforeseen issues had us delay this release, to make sure it gets shipped on Sethraliss in the best state possible. Only the Mythic mode will be left, before the 8.2 content is fully available. We also wanted to take this opportunity to discuss with you what's next: the 8.3 client & content update, but also the next expansion: Shadowlands in a devblog kind of post. We thank you for your continuous interest! ETERNAL PALACE 3RD WING: THE CIRCLE OF STARS The third and final wing of the 8.2 Raid, Azshara's Eternal Palace will be released in LFR, NM & HM difficulties: it's time to put an end to the Queen's evil plan! The 'Circle of Stars' wing will include the last 2 bosses: Za'qul Azshara's Eternal Palace Raid Strategy Guide, a 4-phase encounter where you will be dragged to different realms: this is a mechanically complex fight, and you will need a great understanding of the boss abilities! Queen Azshara Azshara's Eternal Palace Raid Strategy Guide, herself, another 4-phase encounter with 2 intermissions. Keep the Ancient Wards energised to survive! On the 'Queen Azshara' fight, you will be able to loot Aqueous Reliquary, just like on Radiance of Azshara and Queen's Court from the first and second wings. Around the end of November, the full Mythic Mode of TEP should be released, where bosses will reveal their true potential: take the time to assimilate their Heroic stategies as well as possible until then! 8.3 UPDATE - VISIONS OF N'ZOTH With the Eternal Palace raid coming to a closure, we'll have wrapped up the 8.2 content, which means it will be time to look forward to the last patch of the Battle for Azeroth expansion: Visions of N'zoth! Since our client is currently in 8.2 version, it will require a client update, to the 8.3.7 version. Then, the content will be released progressively, to follow retail's - and our usual - order. Our developpers have switched their focus to the 8.3 for a little while now, and things are already in a pretty advanced state, so we expect a release early 2021. Here is how we're standing right now: The Horrific Visions system has been scripted: those are scenarios designed for 1-5 players taking place in alternative versions of Stormwind or Orgrimmar where N'Zoth's corruption thrives. You need to hold as much as possible before losing all your sanity! The legendary cape Ashjra'kamas' questline is being scripted: this item can be upgraded through Visions and will offer protection against sanity loss, and against Corruption on equipment, a new feature of 8.3! The Mythic+ Season 4 Affix: Awakened has been prepared: the obelisk system & spawns are fully done in all dungeons: next step is scripting the Commanders Assaults development is still in the early stages, but work has started Operation: Mechagon will now be splitted in two (think like Return to Karazhan in Legion) and available in Heroic & Mythic+ difficulties. The developper who scripted the dungeon is working on it right now. The first wing of the new raid: Ny'alotha has already been scripted, and the testing session will begin shortly. As with every client update, some class changes occured: those are being worked on and tested by the QA team. The work on the 2 new allied races (Vulperan & Mecagnomes) has started: their stats, starting zone, and heritage armor are scripted. We still have to work on their racials ! The new system that replaces titanforging, called Corruption has not been worked on yet. Once it's done, the spells themselves will have to be scripted. The reworked Auction House has been scripted! There are still some important systems to work on, but as you can see we already worked on quite a lot of the big changes patch 8.3 brings. We'll be able to share more in the near future, so stay tuned! SHADOWLANDS ON FIRESTORM Many of you must be wondering, and the answer is yes: Firestorm will release Shadowlands! The early work on it has already been started, but it's obviously way too early to share anything concrete right now. Although, as soon as the 8.3 gets released on Sethraliss, you can expect the development team to slowly shifts to SL. As we did with BFA, we do not intend to rush things, and would rather be able to offer you a great release, much likely after an open PTR phase. As for the 8.3, as time goes by we'll be able to share more details, so again stay tuned! In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy the release of TEP's 3rd wing, and good luck for the first Heroic kill on Queen Azshara! The Firestorm Team

Greetings everyone! We're here to talk about the 8.2 content update, that we initially planned on releasing around the end of June as stated in our last devblog (you can check it to compare the advancement state!) Even though it was an ETA (which means it wasn't certain), we understand that you want to know how things evolved since then; and most importantly when is the update to be expected on Sethraliss. Well, here we go ! Tests have gone well since last we spoke, thus the update is gonna be ready soon: it will be released end of July / beginning of August. A few things still need to be cleaned up but it shouldn't be postponed beyond this date. Now that this is settled, let's take a look at what we have in store for you for this huge update: New ilvl cap: 455 ilvl for basic gear, and 445 for Azerite Gear. Nazjatar: The main questline, world quests, daily quests and the bodyguard system are scripted, alongside the Battle for Nazjatar event and 2 World Bosses. We're currently scripting the last Rares, trainers & vendors. Essence System: This new type of Heart of Azeroth customization is working, the base questline & all Magni quests are scripted, as well as all the ways to obtain essences except from island expeditions, which will be added when they get released (see below). Our devs are scripting the remaining essence spells which are being tested by our Quality Assurance team. Eternal Palace: The 8.2 Raid, featuring 8 bosses and Queen Azshara. The first wing has been fully tested in NM & HM difficulties, while the remaining wings are still being worked on. First wing items are being scripted at the moment. Mechagon: The dungeon 'Operation Mechagon' has been scripted, and its hard mode is being worked on. Gear effects are currently being scripted but you can already loot them without issues. Daily quests of the zone are done, while the intro quest and constructions are still under development. Constructions might not be available right away on release but will be released soon afterwards. New Season: In PVP, the Notorious Gladiator season will start, while in Mythic+ a new affix will replace Reaping: Beguiling which has been scripted & tested on all dungeons. The Titan Residuum vendor will be updated as well All of the dungeons have been updated for 8.2: they will be harder but give better rewards. BFA Pathfinder Part I & II will be fully working: time to unlock that sweet flying on all of BFA! As for Island Expedition, another developper has resumed the unfinished work of the previous dev, and the first islands should be ready by August. Considering the number of times we told you about them, we get that you might feel suspicious, but if things didn't improve we would say so! Upon release, you will also be able to get an essence through it as well. We're sorry that this took a bit more time than anticipated, but we're really excited to have you guys enjoy all of those new contents! An announcement will be published in a few weeks regarding the update with details about the content (not in the form of a devblog as it is here) & a few surprises... Thank you for your time, and we wish you all a nice beginning of summer! See you soon, The Firestorm Staff.

Hello everyone! If you read our announcement about Sethraliss’ 3rd content update, you’re aware that for a little while now, we started working on the development of 8.1 content on a 8.2 client. At first, only a few devs were assigned to it, but now almost all of them are working on it, which also explains why our 8.0 development is lighter now (less tickets in the live changelog is one of the symptoms). In that last announcement done in July, we mentioned that we were aiming for a release mid October: we’re halfway there, so we figured it would be a good time to share with you our progress and aims for the release! The ETA of the release is now the end of October (just a slight delay in 2 months worth of development). In the meantime, we’re still taking care of Sethraliss and making sure our 8.0 version is stable, don’t worry! A few developers are still monitoring it and making sure the important issues are addressed (major spell bugs, main questline / Uldir issues, etc). As we said before, the client itself will be an 8.2 client (the latest we can), but the content we are scripting is the one directly following what you currently have on Sethraliss: 8.1 questlines, zone & raid. We do not wish to skip anything from the content part, but having an 8.2 client will allow us to keep on scripting up to 8.2 without having to update the client again, which is a huge gain of time for us. So do not worry, you won’t miss on anything BFA has to offer! For those that remember our Legion’s development, we did a similar thing when updating our client from 7.1.5 to 7.3.5, without skipping any of the 7.2 content. One thing worth mentioning though is the class balance that will be taken from 8.2 right away when the 8.2 FS client is released. We’re aware that this means you won’t be doing the content with its related balancing, but there are several reasons that made us stick to this choice (again, the same way it was done on Legion): It drastically reduces dev time: between each game version, a lot of balance changes are done, including removal & addition of new traits or spells: Altering one spell for 8.1, and then again when we’d get into 8.2 content would take twice the amount of time. In essence, later versions are often “better” balanced than earlier ones: some bugs or unintended features are fixed, and the strongest classes are usually slightly nerfed while the weakest are buffed, which leads to a healthier state of the game. That point is up for debate, we’re aware, but it still explains why we also believed this was a good approach. For a few weeks now, our Quality Assurance team is focussing on making reports of class changes, and our developers are fixing them. On the side, some QA members are testing the next raid, Battle of Dazar’Alor (most bosses have their main script done, and require feedback for adjustment). As a reminder, you can apply to join our Quality Assurance team and help us bring out the best release possible here! Here is our developer assignment at the moment: 1 dev on Sethraliss monitoring & major bug fixing 3 devs on BoD (one per wing, so 3 bosses each) 2 devs on class fixing 2 devs on the continuation of the war campaign (one for each side) 1 dev on Darkshore 1 dev on PVP invasions Also, as you may have seen for the past months (and still ongoing) we have a few developers that work on low-level zones or older expansion questlines: Gilneas & Kezan have been rescripted, Elwynn Forest is on the way and we also have a developer working on WoD’s main questline: the idea is to then rescript fully a “leveling route” that will allow you to level up from 1 to 110 as easily as you can level up from 110 to 120 on BFA’s questlines. This means, broadly, scripting 1 zone of each level range available where every race can go without too much effort. Now for the more detailed list of what’s planned on our 8.2 client release! Currently on Sethraliss, every 8.0 content short of the Island Expeditions are available. We know we announced them a while ago, but their development got delayed: rest assured, one of our developers is working on them at the moment, and 3 islands should be available at the release! As usual, when doing a client update / new expansion release, a Public Test Realm will be set up so players can test the new contents. 8.2.0 release content at launch: 8.2 Class balance 8.1 War campaign continuation New allied races / Kultiran / Zandalari 1st wing of Battle of Dazar'alor New endgame zone Darkshore Siege of Boralus and Kings' Rest available on Heroic difficulty. PVP Invasions Azerite gear Vendor New Azerite traits Then, from there on we will script content as it was released on retail: 2nd and 3rd wing of BoD, then the full Mythic mode, then the 3rd Raid Crucible of Storms alongside its quests, and finally 8.2 zones. As you noticed, we plan on releasing BoD wing by wing (like we used to on Legion) and not fully at once as we did with Uldir. We initially thought that releasing the raid all at once would help deliver a better experience for players, and this point still stands; but what we underestimated was the impact in terms of workflow: It’s harder to test all the bosses at once for the QA, and harder for the developers as well, who have to make some bug fixes as long as 3 months after the boss was released. On top of that, we saw on Uldir that only a few guilds actually profited from the full release, as most were progressing (in HM at least) at a pace close to 1 wing / month, which is what we plan on doing on BoD. Easier to test & to fix means higher quality, to the “price” of quantity. We thought we could manage it on Uldir, but it wasn’t really conclusive so we’re switching back to the old, more manageable way! FIRESTORM Q&A It’s been a while since we gave you guys the chance to ask us about Firestorm, and the 8.2 client update sounds like a great opportunity! On Tuesday, October 1st 6 PM Server Time, we will be hosting a Questions & Answers on the public discord! Its system will be the same as the previous times: We’ll unlock a channel for you to post questions, then lock it and take time to answer them: there will be about 5 or 6 rounds. Please read carefully everything in this devblog to not waste questions on stuff that we already explained! EDIT: Transcript of the Q&A available here! Thank you for your time! We hope this will shed some light on the 8.2 client update! The Firestorm Staff
