Hi everyone, If you are having trouble getting the new Firestorm Launcher to work on Linux (crashes, freeze on splash screen, or Xalia errors), here is a definitive workaround to get it running perfectly using Lutris. The secret is using Wine Staging 11.9 right from the start and manually injecting the missing Windows dependencies (.NET 4.8 and WebView2) directly into the prefix before finishing the launcher setup.   Prerequisites: Lutris installed. Wine Staging 11.9 installed on your system (or available in Lutris). WebView2 Standalone Installer downloaded from the official Microsoft website (Get the Evergreen Standalone Installer for x64). Firestorm Launcher Installer (.exe) downloaded.   Step-by-Step Installation: Create the Bottle and Set Wine Staging 11.9 Open Lutris, click the + icon (top left) and choose "Install a Windows game from an executable". Name it something like "Firestorm Launcher". When asked for the executable, select the Firestorm Launcher Installer you downloaded and let Lutris create the initial directory. CRITICAL STEP: As soon as Lutris finishes creating the bottle, the installer will open and likely freeze or fail because WebView2 is missing. Close the installer window immediately. In Lutris, right-click your new Firestorm entry, go to Configure -> Runner options. Change the Wine version to System (11.9-Staging) and click Save. Do not skip this, or the next steps will fail. Install .NET Framework 4.8 Select your Firestorm game entry in Lutris. Click the Wine icon (next to the Play button at the bottom) and select Winetricks. Choose "Select the default wineprefix", then "Install a Windows DLL or component". Scroll down, check the box for dotnet48, and click OK. Follow the classic Windows prompt installations until it finishes, then close Winetricks. Install WebView2 Manually Click the arrow next to the Wine icon in Lutris and select "Run EXE inside wine prefix". Select the WebView2 Standalone Installer (.exe) you downloaded earlier. Let it run and finish the installation quietly in the background. Finalize Launcher Installation Click "Run EXE inside wine prefix" in Lutris one last time. Select the Firestorm Launcher Installer (.exe) again. Since Wine 11.9 is active and all dependencies (.NET and WebView2) are met, the installer will now complete flawlessly. Post-Installation Tips: Existing Game Folder: If you are linking an existing World of Warcraft installation, make sure to move or copy your game folder INSIDE the virtual drive C of the prefix (for example: drive_c/Program Files/). When the launcher asks for the path, navigate through My Computer -> C:. Do not use native Linux paths, as Firestorm Launcher might crash with a page fault.

winetricks/protontricks can install webview2 but it still won't run.  The errors I'm now getting seem to center around something called Xalia and "ui-automation."  

Almost EVERY part of legion progression works on Sylv  realm, AND whatever  u get (achieves, mogs, artifact skins, mounts, pets), transfers to current realm, same acc. Legion realm is 10x XP, 3x rep U can get myth dung lootboxes using LP too, to avoid gearing problems on low pop. U can get quite a bit of gear free (AND gold, AND honor) from class hall  on 6 classes that have insta-complete WQ class-hall token (pala, mage, DH, warr etc). Also, garrison works.

The new launcher uses an implementation of Microsoft Edge WebView2, so it won't work within a Lutris Wine prefix. You can still play the game by bypassing the launcher and adding your WoW installation directly to Lutris. This will work until the new client update comes out; after that, I guess you'll have to update the client using a Windows installation.
