The real issue here is that allowing Alliance and Horde to party up completely ruins the competitive integrity of the game. Right now, players can just group up cross-faction and choose whichever side suits them best at any given moment, which only makes the faction imbalance and matchmaking even worse. Instead of pushing for more cross-faction features like cross-faction Battlegrounds, the server should completely ban cross-faction interactions altogether. We need to go back to the core mechanics of the game: No cross-faction grouping or partying. Factions should be strictly separated. No communication. Horde and Alliance should not be able to whisper or understand each other's language. No trading. Economic and social barriers between factions need to be restored. Cross-faction mechanics destroy the faction pride and the natural rivalry that makes PvP actually mean something. If you want a real fix for the queues and faction balance, stop letting people ride the fence and bring back the strict faction divide.
