I have seen many threads with players having issues connecting to the to BfA realm after the update. From observation, the main issue lies in the Firestorm streaming server and streaming component. What you need to do is try from time to time. Go to the task manager and kill the wow.exe file and start over then monitor the download speed. If you see no data downloaded within five minutes, you can start over. I have personally sniffed one of the links that my client was downloading and attempted to download it using a download manager. It got interrupted five times (26mb only). I have managed to connect into the game, eventually. I want to provide a simple patch for you guys until Firestorm solves the issue. Sadly, I did not know about the update, so I did not backup the client. I am looking for any player who is a bit tech savvy and willing to make an effort to solve his issue. You will have to back up your game client first (~56GB+ folder). I will provide you with a patch (around 900MB) that you will apply to the main folder and some means for verification. If anyone is interested, please let me know in here. P.S. It would better if any junior staff member is involved with this, so it is official. Also, if I anyone has both clients (pre and post 8.2 content update), I can assist you in creating much smaller patch/update.

@Masoud94, Firestorm servers are actually located in France (including the streaming server). Seems nobody is wiling to make an effort in solving their issue. So, I guess it is up to you guys.

I am currently logged into the game, Nutter. I am trying to provide a solution for the players who still have issues. Though, nobody is interested in making an effort, so far. Once I verify that the patch works, I will release it for everyone. I just need somebody who is willing to backup his game client (in case something goes wrong), and make some effort.

Yes, but you will not be able to get the heritage armor if you boost the character. The only way to get heritage armor is by leveling the character normally.

Sorry for the late reply. If Darkshore is controlled by alliance, you get the quests, and vice versa. The pets issues have been resolved.

All bonfires and achievements work now.

This is a mini guide to let you know what works and what does not (mainly on BfA). Special thanks to the developer who fixed most aspects of the event on BfA. The event should grant us the title Flame Keeper. Though, we cannot acquire, it at the moment, because two achievements cannot be done. Note that I am speaking from an alliance perspective. https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1145/king-of-the-fire-festival is bugged and cannot be done because cross faction bonfires do not give us the quest item. Required for title. https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1027/flame-keeper-of-outland cannot be done because one quest is bugged in Nagrand (alliance). Required for title. The rest of the achievements, that are required for the title work. Note that Ahune does not work.through the dungeon finder system. If you want to kill Ahune, move to Zangermarsh, then kill it inside the dungeon named The Slave Pens. This will grant you the achievement https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=263/ice-the-frost-lord You can also farm Ahune for items on normal difficulty (heroic difficulty has an outdated version of the boss). After doing fifty runs, I managed to acquire https://www.wowhead.com/item=138838/illusion-deathfrost I did not see any other items drop from the boss. Note that the boss should spawn a chest, which is not the case here. The items drop directly from the boss. All the bonfires achievements work with the exception of https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=1027/flame-keeper-of-outland and https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11283/flame-warden-of-draenor where the bonfire in Shadowmoon is missing (alliance). All the items are now available on the midsummer vendor and they all work except https://www.wowhead.com/item=141714/igneous-flameling If you use it, you lose it. It does not teach you the pet. I have done it. The boss with the twins (forgot the name) need to be overpowered or it bugs. Most bosses do not give you loot. The last boss is not accessible.

I cannot edit the original post. So, here is an update for you. All achievements are now fixed with the exception of https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=11283/flame-warden-of-draenor which is not required for the title. You can now acquire the title.

Here is the spot for https://www.wowhead.com/npc=50985/poundfist It is the same spot in legion and BfA (I have checked on both). You can see it on map and also find the coordinates to the bottom right corner. If I remember right, the respawn timer is two hours. For those who keep asking, the time lost proto NPC spawns at the same spot. Though, it has a long spawn time. I believe it is 24h. So, be patient and know that many people read the guide here and know its exact location now. So, you are competing with tens if not hundreds of players.

Title: Revisiting the Mail System Type: In-game Description:  Hello. The following issues are not bugs. They are just abnormal behavior. I believe they were introduced to combat gold sellers with the exception of the last one. 1. Mailing a lot of items between characters on the same account causes the "sent too many mails" bug. This should not happen between characters on the same account. 2. Mailing items from a low level character to any character on the same account, is not allowed. This should be allowed. 3. I had a lot of items transferred from legion with my characters. Those items were bound on account (BoA). So, I was able to mail them between alts on the same account, which what Firestorm allowed us to do. Though, suddenly without warning, all those items became bound on pickup including bound on account items. Those items should continue being bound on account as they were before. HandyNotes_SummerFestival allows you to find the bonfires on world map with ease. It displays those bonfires as small icons on your map. You can find the original addon on curse, Though, it is not supported on Firestorm because of the calendar issues. So, download the file and extract it into your Interface\AddOns folder and enjoy.

I have asked on more than one occasion for the developers to fix Elegon's spawning object, on legion and BfA, which would take like 5 minutes. They said they got different priorities. Now, after paying more than 4 million gold on legion to buy the mount on the black market, it is available for free. I cannot replenish the gold I spend on legion, because the realm is not highly populated anymore. Now, whenever I see that mount, I will remember the gold I have wasted. I love FS a lot, but I have to say, this is the first time I have been very disappointed in here. You should have at least given the people who had the mount something else. This would have been fair.

Yeah, I guess you would feel the same, if you have spent more than four million gold to find that they are giving the rare mount to everyone for free. Also, with everyone celebrating this gift, you get nothing. That is fair.

To be honest, that mount is pain to get and only acquirable on MoP and WoD realms. I have tried farming the mount for three months in a row on WoD, then I caved in and camped it on the black market. I have waited around four months before it popped on black market, and I had to pay 4.3m to win, and now it is available for everyone. The mount is supposed to be rare and special :\. Do I at least get some different mount?

If you are referring to scanning the AH, yeah both TSM and Auctionator have issues doing so. You cannot do it.

I believe the update was rushed. That I agree with. I believe it was rushed because of the population decline. Though, I see the developers fixing the issues very fast. I estimate 3-4 weeks before most of the major issues are handled.

This is a mini-guide for Hallow's End event. 1. The Headless Horseman Dungeon Finder During the event, you will find the option to queue for The Headless Horseman dungeon finder. Press I, then change Type into The Headless Horseman. This dungeon will allow you access to a cool mount and some 335 ilvl rings. The three following items, drop only from https://www.wowhead.com/item=117392/loot-filled-pumpkin (daily reward from the dungeon): https://www.wowhead.com/item=37012/the-horsemans-reins https://www.wowhead.com/item=117356/the-horsemans-sinister-slicer https://www.wowhead.com/item=117355/the-horsemans-horrific-hood I have not seen them drop from the boss, at all, during my dungeon finder farm. On the other hand, the rings drop from the boss. So, feel free to farm them until you get two of them to (boost your ilvl). In order to make the farming easier for you, I decided to share my macros. First of all, select The Headless Horseman dungeon in the dungeon finder, then create the following two macros: /click LFDQueueFrameFindGroupButton /click LFGDungeonReadyDialogEnterDungeonButton and /run LeaveParty() Finally, pull the two macros into your actionbars. Use the first macro to queue for the dungeon finder. When the queue pops, to confirm you are joining, click the macro again to confirm. After completing the dungeon, click the second macro, to leave the dungeon, then repeat. You only need to select the Headless Horseman dungeon once, after each login. Note that the boss can bug. So, you need to go and kill the head, until it returns to the boss, and then do it all over again. This may take up to six tries. Though, if you kill the head and the boss cannot be killed, you need to leave the dungeon and retry. You can queue for the boss at a very low level. If you have low level alts, farm the reward bag (for extra chances for the mount). Note that the drop chance for mount is really low. Feel free to farm the bag on multiple realms, if you want. If you acquire the mount and use it on legion, it will become available on BfA. Note: Do not attempt to merge the two macros above. This will result in you getting a deserter debuff. 2. Farming Tricky Treats https://www.wowhead.com/item=33226/tricky-treat is Hallow's End currency.
