I have noticed several queries about the quest you mentioned within our bugtracker, however, the quest is working, and it appears that most of the players are getting stuck on the optional objective. You should simply collect three shards and the quest itself would complete. In case it doesn't complete, simply go to the shard that's located in the altar in the center.
