If you're having issues with the "Failed fetching the CDN configuration file" try this:

Download the following files:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/456860411682095124/457547475969114132/config.rar
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/376808947992100867/463974179642015744/FS735.wtf

Extract the config.rar to Data folder
and copy FS735.wtf to WTF folder
after that remove the read only
from the world of warcraft folder
and execute either Firestorm-64.exe as admin or Firestorm Launcher as admin

you´re the man! thanks bro!

Si tiene problemas con el "Error al recuperar el archivo de configuración de CDN" intente esto:

Descargue los siguientes archivos:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/456860411682095124/457547475969114132/config.rar
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/376808947992100867/463974179642015744/FS735.wtf

Extraiga config.rar a la carpeta de datos
y copie FS735.wtf a la carpeta WTF,
luego elimine la lectura
de la carpeta world of warcraft
y ejecute Firestorm-64.exe como administrador o Firestorm Launcher como administrador

Si. Gracias

i have more option, try the app EXE of your expansion right-click and click the "properties" then go to the "Compatibility" after that find the "Privilege Level" then check, click or switch on the "Run this program as an administrator" apply it and then OK.

Its run normally and have fun!!! :):D

This has helped solving the read-only issue for me. Before when l applied non-read-only, it immediately switched back to read-only.

however, l still have a specific CAS-issue: unable to initialize form build info file. Any ideas with that? I'd appreciate it!

This means ur folder's UAC privileges are set to lesser access than full. Many things can do that> antivirus's, firewalls/security suites, VPNs, parental settings.

Here's what u can try>

Delete whole folder along with ANY WoW related registry entries (check net on how to find).

Then get the full client zip & extract it to root OS drive but NOT program files &  never on a non OS partition. So some like this c:\Gametemp\WoW but never %ProgramFiles%

This path should allow u highest user privileges & should keep read-only status u set.

Thank you! Ofc, I put it on ProgramFiles... *smh. The compatibility hack by Astrasar did help w that but not the CAS issue. I will be downloading everything again and follow your instructions.
