OK I've been told by GM's and on Discord that pet battles don't work on Sylvanas (Legion). That is somewhat true. From what I can tell the Legion zone pets are broken, but many other places have working pet battles and you can capture pets. The pet trainers are in your capital city (Orgrimmar, Stormwind). The starting pet quests are broken and don't work, but you can ask for training and learn the pet battle stuff that way. Once you learn battle pets you can buy and acquire pets along with trap wild ones. Get a good addon like Pettracker and turn on your pet tracking by your mini map so you can more easily find pets. I have found pets I can trap on Sylvanas that aren't available on other servers. Just like most expansions some stuff works, some stuff doesn't. There are working pet battles.

I was unable to complete the dark portal quest and do the WoD intro quest line. Another quest you can't turn in once you enter the dark portal. I don't think it is scripted properly.

The battle pet trainer is in your capital city. That is where you should be able to take your starting pet battle quests and unlock battle pets and pet battles. The one in Stormwind doesn't seem to work as I can do the quests but can't turn them in for completion. So using pets on a newly created character causes them to just vanish into oblivion. The only pets my character has on Sylvanas server are the ones he has on other realms. I don't know of horde pet battle quests work in Orgrimmar? Probably a character transfer from an earlier realm like MoP (Garrosh realm) that had the pet battle quests completed would allow pet battles but I haven't tested that yet. It's really sad that pet battle stuff is so badly broken on so many realms.

It's common to take a long time mostly just the first time you open it, or if it needs to download some content (full client should need to download very little). Without knowing your internet speed or computer specs it's hard to know what "normal" loading time is for your computer. My computer is over 10 years old (newer video card), but was high end when built, and it takes less than a minute for me. But my PC is the fastest Intel Core i7 at the time built, Samsung Pro SSD's, 32GB RAM, and a video card that's a few years old. All it takes to massively slow loading times is to have a crappy mechanical hard drive instead of SSD, or low RAM, or slow CPU. Especially with lots of addons installed.

Capital city near AH. Probably also in new character starting areas. I can't seem to use Boris, says I'm not eligible. I haven't used him since I played on Freakz before the merge so I'm not sure why. I'm guessing boosted level 50 from a previous Boris must be flagged or something.

I can't find any pet battles that give XP to my level 14 pet terroclaw hatchling. It's not a pet scaling issue. Tried pet battles in Outland Zangermarsh and got no XP even if the level 14 pet landed the killing blow on final pet or started in main slot and started the pet battle.

They introduced scaling limits for pet battles? So bad Blizz!!! Also the ultimate battle training stones don't work which is very sad. Edit: They work if not in a stack of more than 1 stone. The ultimate battle training stone you buy for 60 pet charms is the problem. I bought one by accident (others are cheaper) and they don't work and break the whole stack. Ashli pet battle in WoD doesn't work either which was a very nice pet leveling trainer for daily use. Not sure if any of the Legion one work, but WoD garrison is too broken for Squirt to work either. Pet battles still need some love for sure.

My guess is this is usually automated but something happened that automatic measures aren't fixing and it requires a living human to intervene.

Found a Chinese (I think) site that has old versions. I clicked blindly until I found tldr downloads. Easier way would be to google translate the site but the layout was like Curseforge so I found it by just knowing where to click to navigate the site. Is the stuff there safe? No idea but I installed TLDR Missions for 9.2.7 and it seems to be working. https://wowui.178.com/ui/5347

TLDR Missions is much more automated which is why most people switched to that. Not sure if this helps anyone but there are forks that are older that someone might be able to build a working version for 9.2.7 with. https://github.com/TLDRMissions/TLDRMissions/forks

Thanks. Yeah I did see a compliment download that improves it but wasn't that mostly for the older versions that weren't being updated? I know it was updated again right before 10.0.0 patch but people complained tldr was better at missions at that point.

It seems like some developers delete older versions of their addons from sites that generally archive old versions. I was trying to get tldr missions and venture plan addons but the old versions have been scrubbed from all the sites I could find. The best I found was a site that kept version history but the downloads were removed for versions prior to 10.0.0.
