Running 10.2 on a Mac!

5 posts in this topic

I finally managed to run 10.2 Dragonflight on my MacBook Pro 16” M1 Pro.

I installed a program called Whisky, ran it once, let it install Rosetta and some other stuff, ran again, showed it where my WoW folder is, and voila! It is EXACTLY like how it’s running on my PC, if not better.. ~90fps in Valdrakken with settings lvl6.

u can't use luncher on Mac , instead use a virtual machine with windows , lunch and download then copy the folder to Mac and use whiskey app. I used parallel desktops to install personally. have 120+ fps and running without crash

You dont need a launcher on Mac. I am using a free program called "Whisky" for playing The World Within 11.1.5. Just run WoW.exe on Whisky.

I dont know what setup Mr. Dzcryptex is using but I can easily raid with my MBP M1 Pro. I'm assuming even an entry lvl Mac mini m4 can run WoW with no issues.

By the way, Whisky is abandoned by its developer and wont be running at some point (either with a MacOS update or perhaps when Midnight is released). At that point, I'll switch to Crossover.
