new player here with some questions.

 

::about exp rate

if you check realms, oribos is listed as x1.5 exp rate: https://firestorm-servers.com/en/welcome/realms

::about drop rate

Gear loot chances are doubled everywhere, including bosses (dungeon, raid, world) ! From 30% chance to 60%.

what does that exactly mean?

when another server says it has 1x rate, does it mean they have 30% rate and firestorm does have 2x now?

 

::about refer a friend

if i create a character and find someone to give me a boost, can i use it with the same character or do i need to create a new one?

 

::last question

is the server located in EU?

Hi Dyscord

XP RATE:
-The x1.5 was the original XP multiplier when we release the server however since then we have a permanent event that gives you x2 XP rate so to clear any confusion you might have our CURRENT XP rate is x2 even if the website says x1.5

LOOT CHANCE INCREASE: 
- Everyone in your party has a % to get loot when doing a dungeon.
- Depending on how fast you complete the dungeon you can get between 3 items/ 2 items/1 item, this gets divided between the players in your dungeon group.
- For you to get an item you have a 30% chance, now this doesn't make sense if you purely think of it as 100% to get an item from the dungeon in a group.
- The 30% is for your personal loot.
- The increase to 60% means you are twice as likely to get a piece of gear whenever you do a dungeon but this % isn't the only determining factor.

REFER A FRIEND:
- For you to be eligible for a boost you need the following:
  - No character above level 49.
- If you get boosted your character gets boosted till level 50 and you can play on it from there.
( I don't completely understand your question so I will give you 2 answers in case I misunderstood what you meant.)
- If you want to boost someone with your "boosted" character you need to follow to be eligible to do so:
  - You need to log in at least once a month.
  - Have a character with a maximum level (60) that has at least 200 ilvl gear.

loot chance still get me a lil confused. have found this: https://de.wowhead.com/mythic-keystones-and-dungeons-guide#end-of-dungeon-loot

- Two pieces of loot are guaranteed, which will be randomly assigned to two players.

• If the dungeon is not completed in time, the second piece of gear will have it's item level lowered.

 

so its possible that the loot chance can be lower than on retail as it offers always 2 guaranteed drops?

bad time: 1 drop -> 20%

casual time: 2 drops -> 40%

fast time: 3 drops -> 60%

 

or have i misunderstood it?

 

btw. already created a character and ping is fantastic

Hi Dyscord

The drop rate is the exact same as retail, however, now it is a bit higher.
+3 chest is guaranteed 3 items
+2 chest is guaranteed 2 items
+1 chest guaranteed 1 item.
Depleting will also give 1 item.

These have a higher chance to be assigned to you is higher now.
