Unplayably Bugged at Battle for Acherus

After trying to make a death knight 3 times, every time I got past the battle at light's hope chapel, and went to ebon hold to complete the fight for acherus, I was inexplicably rendered silenced and pacified, unable to use any attacks or abilities, and logging out doesn't help, porting to orgrimmar, or leaving acherus without picking up that quest, none of it helps.
