How do you properly use your addons?

Hey guys, where do you put your addons after you download them, I can't figure out Firestorm lol, I don't want to mess anything up.

Open WoW folder -Interface-Addons9_9.

even after putting them into Addons folder when I log in there still doesnt apear the button to activate ...

Some addons unpack in a main directory, so an addon directory should have at least one .toc and a .lua file and copy that in the Interface\Addons directory. Atlas and Bagnon have a lot of addon directories, but you don't need all of them. Just turn them off in your game addon load screen. You might need to turn on "load out of date" or change the .toc file.

.toc contains general data like version, author, etc. and .lua is the program. Sometimes it needs a library directory included or you have to install it in the addons directory.
