Title: Character SHOP SUGGESTION Type: Shop Description: Hi everyone. I'm here to talk about the shop issues that a lot of players are having in the last weeks. The Character Selling feature is a really really good thing, but has to be something that "helps" the player, and not a thing that pushes the player down. First of all, the new character MINIMUM PRICE IS TOO HIGH, and this leads to a riddicolous shop "medium price" that none can really afford. Secondly, the taxes. I will not even talk about the "highlight your character" feature that is actually set on a 30% tax, that makes selling a character totally useless. Talking about the standard 25% tax that Firestorm takes on every sale, I'd like to say that it is a really really heavy tax that forces every seller to add some donations to his sale, since the 25% tax is effectively destroying 1/4 of his earning. Let's make an example: Server Garrosh (MISTS OF PANDARIA). A lvl 90 (capped) character with full PvP endgame season (item lvl 550) has an minimum price of 1380 firestorm points (this would be more than 130€, rofl). If I'm an old player that spent a lot of time gaming and PVPing with my character and now I got bored, I may think about selling my char and use the Firestorm Points that I'll earn with that sale to buy a new and fresh character with (less or more) the same gear of my old character. So I go to the shop, and I'm forced to set my character on sale for a price >= 1380 Firestorm Points. Let's -honestly- be serious: NONE WILL BUY IT AT THIS PRICE bceause it is a really really too high price. But let's say that I'm lucky and some1 buys my character. GREAT! Now, I've sold my char for 1380 Firestorm Points and I'm going to buy a fresh char with an average same gear for the same price..... Ah no wait! 25% of 1380 = 1035 Firestorm Points!!!!! So, I've basically sold my 550 full season PvP character for 1380 Firestorm Points, but now I just have 1035 Firestorm Points, and I'll not even be able to get a naked character. This forces a player to sell TWO character in order to buy ONE character with same gear, and that's a nonsense; and that's why the shop is TOTALLY FROZEN and not working as intended, resulting into CHARACTERS BEING ON SHOP FOR MONTHS WITHOUT BEING BOUGHT BY ANYONE. I'm sorry for the wall of text, but I'd like to have this as more clear as I can . SUGGESTION(s) TO SOLVE THIS: way A) -leave everything as it is now, but add a timer on the shop system that will CHECK IF A CHARACTER IS BEING SOLD AT HIS MINIMUM PRICE AVAILABLE, and if that's the case, the SERVER WILL "buy" the character for that price, removing the char from the shop and charging the seller's account with the amount of Firestorm Points earned (after the tax calculation). This will solve everything because the character will be "sold" and deleted (as aquired by the server) at the same time, and it will be sold at the correct (minimum) price, even if no buyer has been found. way B) -lower the tax that Firestorm takes from every sale -lower minimum character price and don't set it on item level Hoping to have this great site and server having a perfect working shop again, see ya all and thanks for reading!
