  1. Yeah, lets repeat all mistakes Blizzard did. I am sure they will work this time... ...said no successful person ever. 1. Giving teleporters or all flight paths was even removed by Blizzard. Why? It did help new players to travel faster. But it also helped them to constantly get lost and to constantly not know where they are or where to go. Even Blizzard learned that "too much convenience" actually exists. 2. Yeah, lets cut out almost all content form expansion which lacks content to retain players even on retail. Yes what a great idea. Easy comes, easy goes. Or in other words, people come, see they got everything. Complain how there is nothing to work towards and leave. WoW is not sandbox MMO. 3. Yes, do allow people to be done with dungeons even faster. God forbid to use custom solutions to boost popularity of expansion life extending option. Lets make it easier for people to leave content behind and never ever feel use for it... What I am trying to say here is, doing all those will do exactly what WoD did on retail. At first it will make everyone happy. But after time, people will have nothing to do and leave. Yes, leveling can sometimes be pain in the ass. But it gives you goal to work to. Gearing up can also be challenge but it can again give you something to work towards. Not everyone will work towards doing all raids on mythic. And I am sure a lot of people will pass on WoD reputations, except ones for Pathfinder, because they are just big pain in the ass. Giving everything to everyone won't fix the issue. It will just temporarily boost happiness. Otherwise, why not just make it instant 100, give high end gear to players and you are done. Why bother with everything if you are making everything accessible within few days of playing. It is kind of pointless and since everything was easily obtained, everything would be easy to leave once you go to some server that will actually give you something to work towards.
  2. Sure I might have exaggerated a bit. But still, if we support ignorance, then we are only going to get more ignorant people around. I mean cheat part could have tipped you off to at least ask some staff member about it. Would it really be that hard? Nope. Sure I don't need to even do that to know what answer would be. And when you start allowing stuff like this, then people start arguing semantics and everything to justify whatever abuse they can, because rules now technically allow it. Seen it a way too many times. Yes, I do know, but by design of the game you are obviously allowed to use them, Blizzard does not create macros and add-ons, they do create framework and everything that allows you to use them. Game doesn't need that Interface folder to work, it could be easily hidden away in some mpq file. You use them only because Blizzard allows it and supports use of add-ons. There is big difference between add-ons and cheat engine in what they allow you to do. For add-ons Blizz put a lot of sfeguards in game, so you can not abuse them. Like what they can do, when and so on. Also only thing very clearly against any add-on rules are add-on actions without player interaction. They can however group stuff in one button, like macros would. Or give you additional info. And macros are even deeper in game just because Blizz allows them to be. Feel free to entertain me with an add-on on Curse that would get people banned or would harm your computer. I am listening... As far as sources go, it is as safe as it gets. I never had any problems and I downloaded a lot of add-ons from there and used them on retail and private servers. Never got banned. Also I mentioned Curse just as example, since almost everyone knows about it.
  3. And you didn't see that one coming? Really, "Cheat Engine" doesn't ring any kind of alarms in your head. Yeah, lets legalize guns and sell them in every supermarket, we will use them for protection only, "we promise". It is like you would play with box saying "explosive" and then being surprised when it explodes... Otherwise it is simple, there are three questions you have to ask yourself: Is this made by Blizzard? Is this made by private server I play on? Is this add-on, like ones you get on Curse? If all three questions are answered with no, then it is not allowed. With few rare exceptions, like programs for recording gameplay or streaming.
  4. They did not mark it invalid. Here is link to old thread and it is still under suggestions: Also if they mark something invalid, it is because they decided they don't want it. Not because they would want to hide it.
  5. That is not problem of resetting. It is problem of matchmaking system, which should find you players with similar rating and it should keep balanced. WoW is very gear dependent game. And yes, you will have your ass kicked, if opposing team is in better gear, that was suppose to motivate you to get better gear. As far as I see, WoW will actually get more skill based PvP in Legion, where for first time in WoW gear won't matter much, if Blizz will deliver what is promised. But still system should take gear and your rating into consideration, when looking for other team to pair your team with. Also, I did not do PvP in a while. But last time I did it, we used to do BGs to get gear for arena. Sure we were still outgeared but it helped a lot. I would believe this did not change much. It was 1x Blizzlike server and no one gave me anything, I earned every single piece of gear through thousand deaths from players much better geared than me. But then again I took it as challenge and I was always looking for how I could beat system and it never felt better than when I outsmarted player with much higher gear... :-) Blizzlike? Yes it is, do they give free arena gear to players, so they could compete with high end geared players? Of course not. Even on retail you got your ass kicked a lot before you got geared up and felt like you are ready for some payback. I will repeat, WoW is gear based MMO. It is like you would go to play simulator and then complain how it is too realistic...
  6. Faster gearing is not always good thing. While you are gearing you have more reason to return and keep doing whatever you were doing, because you get something new over time. Faster gearing would reduce that. Also a lot of new players this would attract would get bored of game rather quickly and leave, because there would be nothing to do anymore. Or complain on how nothing new is released. Even Blizzard learned that too much convenience is bad thing. Also as stated above, this server is trying to be Blizzlike. Yes it has some custom stuff, like higher EXP rates, but that is also to compensate for bugs. Bugs are there, because someone needs to fix them and that takes time, go to WotLK and you will still see servers with bugs, even vanilla is not bug free. Fixing everything takes time and classes are not only thing in need of fixes. Still direction in which server goes is determined by server staff themselves. Some servers go custom way, FS decided to go towards Blizzlike road. Yes not everything is Blizzlike yet, this does not mean they should just abandon that and just give up on it, especially because few players want easy pass.
  7. Why? If they enable it, it does not matter if I am in raid or in front of Stormwind. I can use it anywhere. Cooldowns are part of game mechanics. Making easy and useful way to reset them on the fly can be exploited. If you think about system like that, you should think how it will effect game beyond your precious duels....
  8. This is bad idea, let say we go to PvE content. Cooldowns? No problem, just have friend ready for handy duel cooldown reset, to completely remove that mechanic. Cheating easy mode.
  9. First I would love to be allowed to edit my profile... since apparently I am not allowed to do that for some really strange and first time seen reason.
